BMA of America Conferences There is something captivating about the blending and swelling of sibling harmony. When that is combined with pure talent and a servant’s heart for people, you have the incomparable ministry of The Erwins. The Erwins will be one of the featured artists at Celebration 2023 Conference at the Chateau On the Lake Conference Center, in Branson, Missouri Nov. 28-30. This annual conference (formerly called National Senior Adult Conference) sponsored by the Conference Division of BMA America, has been redesigned to appeal to all adults of the Baptist Missionary Association. Set in beautiful Branson, Missouri, the conference is a three-day event featuring uplifting worship, fellowship, gospel entertainment, food and fun. Conference admission includes admission to the conference, tickets to Sight and Sound’s production of the musical “Esther” and two buffet breakfasts. The Erwins started singing as soon as they were each able to talk. Appearing at over 270 dates a year with their father, who has been in full-time evangelism for nearly 50 years, they have been traveling full-time their entire life singing in concerts, revivals, and conferences all across the country. Three of the four siblings, Keith, Kody, and Kris performed as a trio until 2013, when the group announced that their little sister, Katie, would be joining the group full-time on stage officially making them a Mixed Group. It is with prayer, determination, and focus that The Erwins are blazing new trails in Southern Gospel, proving to their industry peers and fans alike, that the future of Southern Gospel music is, in fact, secure with a young group like The Erwins. TBHC will participate in North Texas Giving Day, one of our largest fundraising events of the year, Sept. 21, 2023. This year, we have sought out matching donors who have pledged $30,000, with a total goal for the day of $75,000. We are asking you, our BMA friends, to help us reach this goal. It is more than a number or a dollar sign. It is specialized therapy for a child needing to heal from trauma. It is training for foster parents who are seeking ways to connect with a child. It is the feeling of normalcy for a child who gets to participate in a camp, a gymnastics class or a basketball team for the first time in their lives, or Christmas gifts under the tree—something they’ve never even dreamed of before. You can be a part of making this day a day of providing for the needs of these children. A day to let them know they are seen. You can donate through the QR code below, or by visiting www.northtexasgivingday.org/organization/tbhcfostercareandadoption. You can give a child a chance for hope. By DAVID ERICKSON, PhD
Jacksonville College President The heart of Jacksonville College is worshiping the God we study and serve. The chapel at the center of the campus symbolizes how Jesus is at the center of everything done on campus. Sadly, the chapel building cannot be used at this time. Age has caught up to it. As a temporary solution we are holding chapel services on the bleachers in the gym. As new life is breathed into and a renewed vision is cast for the college, the goal is to move into a new era by restoring the heart and soul of the campus. To restore the Buckner Chapel to operation would require replacing the air conditioner units, installing a new roof and refurbishing the lighting system. A goal of $500,000 to Restore the Heart of Jacksonville College has been set. This will allow the chapel to be restored and renew the campus for its intended purpose. Offerings may be mailed to Jacksonville College, 105 B. J. Albritton Drive Jacksonville 75766. |
