Curry elected as new president of Texas Baptist Home
During a special called executive committee meeting at Farley Street, Waxahachie, Jason Curry was elected unanimously to serve as the new president of Texas Baptist Home for Children Aug. 8, 2017. See the August issue of Baptist Progress for more details.
Ron Chesser to retire as executive director of Ministers Resource Services
Ron Chesser has announced his retirement as executive director of Ministers Resource Services, effective May 31, 2018. The time frame will allow for resumes to be received and a candidate selected for nomination at the BMA of America Meeting in Jackson, Mississippi next April. David Dykes to speak at BMA of Texas Leadership Conference
Dr. David Dykes, pastor of the 16,000 member Green Acres Baptist Church of Tyler, will be the featured speaker during the BMA of Texas Leadership Conference in November. The conference coincides with the BMA of Texas Annual Meeting. The conference will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Nov. 6, at New Harmony Baptist Church in Tyler.
$105 for 105 years of ministry
Baptist Progress asks that every church send us $105 for 105 years of ministry. The overall goal is $15,000. Currently, we are far from reaching our goal, so your church's participation is needed. Offerings may be mailed to Baptist Progress, PO Box 2085, Waxahachie, Texas 75168.
Senior Adult Conference details announced
Join seniors from around the BMA Nov. 12-15, 2017 at the Hilton Convention Hotel in Branson, Missouri for DiscipleGuide's Annual Senior Adult Conference. Don Chandler will be preaching and inspirational music will be provided by Steve Green. More details are available in the April 2017 issue of Baptist Progress.

Originally scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15, the BMA of Texas Annual Meeting will now be held on Monday, Nov. 6 and Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017. Please mark the changes on your calendars and be sure to attend.
