Sister Church Remodels Stage for Bethel, Orange

Circle Drive members help construct a new stage for Bethel, Orange

A couple of weekends ago, Bro. Jack Comer and several men from Circle Drive Baptist Church in Bridge City came to Bethel to help with improvements to our sanctuary. As we seek to revitalize Bethel not only as a body of believers but also by improving our church facility, Circle Drive has graciously come alongside us as a sister church.

The men rebuilt and restructured our pulpit and stage area, added steps on both sides, and resized it so that it is more appropriate for our sanctuary and style of worship. The previous stage was quite large for the size of our building. What we have now fits the room much better while still leaving plenty of space for future growth.

We still have a few finishing touches to complete, but these gentlemen greatly blessed our congregation by freely giving their time, talents, labor and expertise. Their support has extended beyond this project. The people of Circle Drive have prayed for and encouraged our congregation, and they have invited our men to participate in fellowship opportunities such as their men’s breakfasts. They have served without seeking recognition for themselves, simply desiring to honor the Lord, strengthen His churches and bless His people.

Hebrews 6:10 speaks beautifully of their service, “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.”

I am greatly blessed to call Bro. Jack both my brother in Christ and my friend. I am also thankful to serve in the BMA alongside churches like Circle Drive Baptist Church, churches willing to give, sacrifice and work together for the glory of our Lord and the good of His people.

I hope this will encourage other churches to work together. And remind those struggling that we are not alone.
