The Woman at Church Everyone Sees

By EMILY SIMPSON

Ladies, the pastor’s wife is not your pastor.

A big misconception often exists that a pastor’s wife is there to meet every need of every lady, participate in every church event, have knowledge of every spiritual concept or be the epitome of every stereotype. Perhaps an exaggeration, or perhaps not. In reality, she has a much different responsibility that is not much different than your own.

From Time to Time Part 5

By JASON CURRY
President, TBHC
Picture
“Given Up” or “Given by Love”
Words have a way of lingering long after they are spoken.
I still remember the first time I heard a young adult describe their adoption story with a quiet pause, “I was…given up.” No anger. No accusation. Just the weight of those words hanging in the air. The language we use tells a story not only to those around us, but to ourselves. It reveals what we believe about our worth, our relationships and even about God.

The Measure of Ministry

By DR. JOHN DAVID SMITH
President, BMA Global
Picture
More than twenty years ago, my family and I boarded a plane and left Cape Verde after twelve years of missionary service. We left thinking we would be back after I completed more seminary studies; however, that was not God’s plan. Cape Verde became a part of us in those years. It had been our home. It was where my wife and I grew up from our early 20s to our mid 30s. It was where we learned the rhythms of ministry, struggled through learning the language and culture, helped plant churches, invested in future leaders, and watched God strengthen a work that we prayed would ultimately continue long after we were gone.

A New Mission Field We Can’t Ignore

When did you come to know Christ as your Lord and Savior?
For many of us, that moment didn’t happen in adulthood—it happened in childhood. Maybe it was in a Sunday school classroom, during Vacation Bible School, or in the quiet of your bedroom after a simple, sincere prayer.

More is Caught than Taught: Raising Financial Disciples

By STEVE CRAWLEY, Ph.D.
BMA Financial Executive Director
Picture
Kids are always watching, especially when it comes to money. Every purchase, every act of generosity, every sign of contentment is shaping how they see God’s provision. We’re teaching, whether we mean to or not.

Deuteronomy 6 reminds us that discipleship happens in the everyday moments—when we sit, walk, lie down and rise. That’s where financial discipleship lives too. Not in a lesson, but in a life.
