By DAVID ERICKSON, PH.D. President, Jacksonville College Jacksonville College is on track to launch a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration for Fall 2026. This new program continues the college’s strategic effort to transition from primarily enrolling associate-level students who study for one to two years to primarily enrolling bachelor-level students who study for three to four years. In August 2025, Jacksonville College became a four-year senior-level college when it launched its first bachelor’s degree in more than a century. The first students in the Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry are already progressing through the program. Last month a committee from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) spent several days on campus. Their job was to determine if Jacksonville College remained compliant with SACSCOC standards when it became a four-year school. The college received a very favorable report, clearing the way for the college to begin offering additional bachelor’s degrees this fall. New faculty have already been hired to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program and the college’s faculty is putting the final touches on a program that will train future business leaders for a successful career while upholding the Christian worldview and values that are vital to an education at Jacksonville College. Additional information on the business program will be available on the college’s website soon. Introducing a New Logo Jacksonville College is rolling out a new logo this spring. According to President David Erickson, “The college’s logo has always had a cross in the center of it, reflecting the centrality of Christ in all that we do. Yet the cross was often overlooked, as it was formed by a negative space in our existing logo. Our new logo makes the cross prominent while also bringing JC gold back into the logo. If there is one thing we want everyone to know about Jacksonville College, it’s that we put Jesus at the center of everything we do. This new logo makes that clear.” Scholarship Gala—Where your generosity becomes their future
