Jaguar Athletics are Making Their Mark

Our fall seasons are off to a great start with soccer, E-sports and cross country already having competitions.

The Jaguar men’s soccer team is currently 1-2 in conference with a recent victory over Texas Southmost College. The women’s team is 1-1 in conference and took down the Texas Southmost team as well.

The women’s cross-country team had a good opening meet at UT Tyler by beating several four-year colleges with JC runner Ria Torres finishing 12th out of 88 athletes. On the men’s side, Gavriel Rodriguez finished 25th and Corbin Garcia finished 27th out of 124 athletes propelling the Jaguar team over several four-year colleges.

The E-sports team is currently competing in Super Smash Brothers, Rocket League, EA Sports FC 2026 and Madden NFL 2026. 

The Jacksonville College golf, tennis, and track and field teams will begin competitions soon. The golf team starts competition on Sept 8 at the Energy Weldfab Tempest Intercollegiate tournament with the tennis team opening up against Austin College on Sept 20 and track and field starting their season at Houston University on Jan 10, 2026.

We are very thankful and proud of our athletes and coaches who represent Jacksonville College by competing with passion and excellence. It’s going to be a great year to be a Jaguar!
